Just before I started my thesis which would lead to my degree, I was asked to temporarily fill in as a spare part coordinator and communicator at a small machine tooling sales company. It didn’t take many weeks until I was asked to stay there permanently, and be a part of the company. I gladly accepted.

The company, Johan Nordström Verktygsmaskiner AB, was founded in 1955 and has always been a prominent part on the machine selling market. It is privately owned, employs ca 35 people (including ca 10 in a daughter company that sells tools and accessories to the industry) is located in Sollentuna, north of Stockholm, but we rarely see more than 10 persons at our office. Most of the staff works either as sales representatives or as technicians.

I’ve got a golden opportunity to learn each and every day at work, which I’m immensely thankful for. I also get the chance to broaden my field of work, which now includes handling client IT, marketing and web site maintenance. Furthermore, I’ve begun studying production engineering, which is an exciting and enormous area of the production process.
